بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ هَلْ أَتَىٰكَ حَدِيثُ ٱلْغَٰشِيَةِ ۝١

Have you received the news of the Enveloper?

وُجُوهٌۭ يَوْمَئِذٍ خَٰشِعَةٌ ۝٢

On that Day faces shall be humbled,

عَامِلَةٌۭ نَّاصِبَةٌۭ ۝۳

laboring, wornout,

تَصْلَىٰ نَارًا حَامِيَةًۭ ۝٤

roasting at a scorching Fire

تُسْقَىٰ مِنْ عَيْنٍ ءَانِيَةٍۢ ۝٥

that is fueled from a tremendously hot fountain,

لَّيْسَ لَهُمْ طَعَامٌ إِلَّا مِن ضَرِيعٍۢ ۝٦

no food for them except thorny plants

لَّا يُسْمِنُ وَلَا يُغْنِى مِن جُوعٍۢ ۝۷

which neither sustains, nor satisfy hunger.

وُجُوهٌۭ يَوْمَئِذٍۢ نَّاعِمَةٌۭ ۝۸

(Whereas other) faces on that Day will be joyful,

لِّسَعْيِهَا رَاضِيَةٌۭ ۝۹

well pleased with their striving,

فِى جَنَّةٍ عَالِيَةٍۢ ۝١۰

in a Garden on high,

لَّا تَسْمَعُ فِيهَا لَٰغِيَةًۭ ۝١١

where they will hear no idle talk.

فِيهَا عَيْنٌۭ جَارِيَةٌۭ ۝١٢

A gushing fountain shall be there

فِيهَا سُرُرٌۭ مَّرْفُوعَةٌۭ ۝١۳

and raised couches,

وَأَكْوَابٌۭ مَّوْضُوعَةٌۭ ۝١٤

and prepared goblets,

وَنَمَارِقُ مَصْفُوفَةٌۭ ۝١٥

and arranged cushions

وَزَرَابِىُّ مَبْثُوثَةٌ ۝١٦

and outspread carpets.

أَفَلَا يَنظُرُونَ إِلَى ٱلْإِبِلِ كَيْفَ خُلِقَتْ ۝١۷

What, do they not reflect upon how the camel was created?

وَإِلَى ٱلسَّمَآءِ كَيْفَ رُفِعَتْ ۝١۸

And how the heaven was raised up,

وَإِلَى ٱلْجِبَالِ كَيْفَ نُصِبَتْ ۝١۹

and how the mountains were firmly fixed?

وَإِلَى ٱلْأَرْضِ كَيْفَ سُطِحَتْ ۝٢۰

And how the earth was outstretched?

فَذَكِّرْ إِنَّمَآ أَنتَ مُذَكِّرٌۭ ۝٢١

Therefore remind, you are only a Reminder.

لَّسْتَ عَلَيْهِم بِمُصَيْطِرٍ ۝٢٢

You are not charged to oversee them.

إِلَّا مَن تَوَلَّىٰ وَكَفَرَ ۝٢۳

As for those who turn their back and disbelieve,

فَيُعَذِّبُهُ ٱللَّهُ ٱلْعَذَابَ ٱلْأَكْبَرَ ۝٢٤

Allah will punish them with the greatest punishment.

إِنَّ إِلَيْنَآ إِيَابَهُمْ ۝٢٥

Indeed, to Us they shall return,

ثُمَّ إِنَّ عَلَيْنَا حِسَابَهُم ۝٢٦

then upon Us shall rest their reckoning.
